Atoomnet's Digital Led String Controller
ADLSC
A 5V WLED controller with real power handling. An ESP32-WROVER-E drives your digital LED matrix, switches the LED supply on and off, and protects everything with fuses, TVS diodes and reverse-polarity protection.
What's on the board
- An ESP32-WROVER-E DevKitC.
- High-side power switching (AOD442 MOSFET).
- A MAX809M reset and undervoltage monitor.
- A 0.5A polyfuse and TVS diodes.
- Two fused 5V LED injection points.
- 74AHCT125D level shifters.
- I2C and SPI PMOD connectors.
The power path
5V comes in through a reverse-polarity MOSFET, then splits. A 0.5A polyfuse feeds the ESP32, and two separately-fused sections power the LED strip. The MAX809M kills the ESP32 if the rail sags. WLED sends data via a 74AHCT125D level shifter up to 5V. I switch the LED rail fully off at night rather than driving black pixels.
