PMOD-SPI-Memory
A PMOD board that holds just about any 8-pin SPI memory chip. Its "Frankenstein-8" footprint spans DIP-8, SOIC-8 and SOP-8, so you can drop in SPI flash or PSRAM and wire it to your FPGA or MCU over a standard PMOD header.
On the board
- A "Frankenstein-8" pad layout covering DIP-8, SOIC-8 and SOP-8, a PMOD SPI header, a 100 nF decoupling cap, and series resistors plus a blue LED for activity
- Uses the author's own ATOOMNETKICAD library
How it connects
The PMOD header exposes the standard SPI pins: CS, SCK, MOSI and MISO, powered at 3.3 V. Your host drives the bus, and the chip answers on MISO. Verified working with 8 MiB PSRAM and 8 MiB flash parts.
